Camping In The Lake District

Gillside Farm, is sited in an idyllic location for the perfect Lake District Camping and Caravanning holiday, located on a Lakeland farm that has been worked by the Lightfoot family for over 60 years. Ideally placed on the edge of Glenridding next to Ullswater and at the foot of Helvellyn. Pets welcome.

A small, quiet park, in a pleasant rural setting, family owned and supervised. There are three luxury holiday homes for hire which are beautifully situated on the static park in the old farm orchard, Visit England 4* H&T Park, the highest award for quality, only given to first class holiday homes on well managed parks.

We are situated on the fringe of Cumbria's Lake District National Park with fantastic views towards the Lake District’s Blencathra and the Pennine’s Cross Fell and Great Dunn Fell, ideal for when you want to get away from it all.

We welcome all types of tourer vehicle, including; camper vans, motor homes, caravans and trailer tents on our hard standing pitches. Tents have their own large grassed area. Seacote Park provides dedicated, free to use wash room facilities for tourers so you don’t need to worry about carrying around change for a well deserved hot shower.

Our site opened in the summer of 2010. Ideally located close to the Hadrian’s Wall trails (walking and cycling) and the beautiful Solway coast, we have facilities catering for all visitors to the area. We are situated between the villages of Monkhill and Beaumont - 4 miles from Carlisle and 9 miles from the start/end of the trail at Bowness on Solway.
